The vast majority of Tanzania’s elephant herds live in one remote stretch of safari wilderness – the Selous Game Reserve. A feature of this safari is the opportunity to participate in classic style game drives as well as boat and walking safaris.

Day 1
Depart from Dar es Salaam city centre to Mikumi National Park (about 4 ½ hours). Lunch at Vuma Hill Tented Camp, followed by an afternoon game drive. Mikumi National Park is well known for its population of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, elands, greater Kudu, wildebeest, roan and sable antelope.

Day 1
After breakfast, drive to Iringa town. Stop at a restaurant for lunch, and then proceed driving to Iringa town for dinner and overnight at Iringa Hotel or similar

Day 1
Depart from Dar es Salaam city centre by 4x4 safari vehicle to the Selous Game Reserve. Enjoy a late lunch at the Rufiji River Camp. Embark on an afternoon game drive in the reserve, and then return to Rufiji River Camp for dinner and overnight
